It's important to pre-book all your travel arrangements, including flights, ferry, car hire and accommodation. Hire cars can be collected from either the Kingscote Airport or Penneshaw Ferry Terminal by prior arrangement only. Transport to and from Kangaroo Island at peak times (including Christmas, Easter, long weekends and school holidays) sell out fast. So, book well ahead during these peak times!

Once you arrive on the Island, it's a 40 minute (40km) drive from the Kingscote Airport or a 75 minute (100km) drive from the Penneshaw Ferry to Vivonne Bay. Once you've booked your stay, we'll email you through a welcome pack, day trip planner and directions to Serenity Cottage.

Both Regional Express Airlines and Qantas offer 30 minute flights from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island.
The Kingscote Airport's new upgrade will provide greater access with some direct flights from Melbourne via Qantas – ideal for time-poor Australian and International travellers.

As the small, regional airport is located 14 kilometres south of the main township of Kingscote, it's imperative that you pre-book your car hire with Budget or Hertz before arrival to avoid being stranded at the airport.
